Believe it or not we here at the CFP have plants in the ground. With three weeks to go until last frost even. I know, crazy huh? We have broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and spinach even. There is garlic and shallots and onions. We have carrot, radish, and pea seeds planted and waiting for sprouts. Rhubarb planted by the garage. More salad greens to shake a stick at (please don’t or I might have to hurt you). The water barrel is situated under the guttering. Things are starting to come together. The tiller we are using is a little temperamental. Sort of like it has a mind of its own. We finally figured out how to use it correctly. Push down to get a deeper trench. Rake the leftover grass chunks out and throw them in the neighbors yard. Add a little compost and start to plant.Future to-do’s are to plant parsnips and maybe corn this weekend. Build our compost barrels so we do not have to buy it anymore. Visit the Master Gardener’s show at the county 4-H building. Stay tuned…..
Wow!
