Well it is almost officially spring time at the CFP. My little purple flowers are popping up in my back yard. I am not sure what they are as they have been there since I have lived in my house. Around 16 years now I think. They used to be few and far between, but since I have neglected to rake up any leaves the past few years, they have pretty much covered my lawn. My maple tree is budding and I expect some whirly-gigs in a few weeks. I seen my first robin on Saturday. The “pillars of the community”(old people) say that is a sure sign Spring has arrived. Another reason I know Spring has arrived is the rain. It has been raining here non-stop for 24 hours. It will probably rain here for another 24 hours before it stops. I know you readers from the Seattle area are going “Big Deal.” I often say that when I see that Alabama or Georgia has an inch of snow and their whole infrastructure comes to a screeching halt. We were planning to clean up the sticks and branches this weekend, mark out plots, and such. With three plus inches of rain it doesn’t look like that is going to happen. Oh well, maybe the weekend after Easter.
Spring Time!!!
